Eyewear and allergies
How to avoid a contact allergy to wearing a spectacle frame?
Some materials used in eyewear may cause contact allergy. If you have a burning sensation or itchy eyes that force you to blink or scratch you, you may experience an allergic reaction to your eyewear.
Fortunately, there are hypoallergenic eyewear. Indeed, frames with fine materials and artisanal manufacturing such tortoiseshell, horn, wood, organic cellulose acetate or from modern alloys technologies, such as magnesium, titanium or surgical steel are hypoallergenic greatly reducing the risk of contact reactions.
Your optician will advise you.
