HIGH DEFINITION VISION
Progressive lenses and driving
Our vision is used in a very unnatural way while driving a vehicule.
Indeed, our eyes must move very quickly from one direction to another: from the road to the rearview mirrors and the dashboard. Changes in the brightness of the environment throughout the day or night, can also cause discomfort that can potential be a safety issue.
Lenses manufacturers have developed a range of progressive lenses with a wider intermediate fild of vision. This allows drivers to control both speed and rearview mirrors solely by a quick movement of the eyes.
New coating also helps reduce glare, especially while driving at night. Quick changes in brightness are thus less binding for our vision.
